Although his instincts tell him differently, Hunt becomes involved with her and agrees to help. What he doesn’t know is there is no child. Cover artist: Kelly Shorten
Excerpt:
Mandy kissed his neck gently a few times before settling her head on his shoulder. “Not bad for a gimp.”
He smiled and stroked her back. “Wait until I’m all healed up, doll.”
She sat up enough so she could look into his eyes. “You think we won’t kill each other before the opportunity presents itself again?”
“The opportunity is always there. We just have to learn to seize the moment.”
She playfully slapped his arm again. “I’m serious, Hunt. You hate me. What’s with the sex all of a sudden?”
“I don’t hate you. You just have a knack for pissing me off.”
“And the difference?”
“One on one, when you’re not trying to run away from me or deck me or my men, you’re a very fascinating woman, Amanda.”
“And when I’m not?”
“You are an absolute spitfire in bed.”
“I’m serious, Hunt.”
“So am I.” She glared at him. “Okay. Honest time? You’ve intrigued the shit out of me since the moment I found you. Sure, you drive me nuts, but this whole ‘mystery lady’ thing is kind of a turn on.”
“You’re such a straight arrow, Hunt. Besides the whole throw away gun thing. This isn’t going to work.”
“Why? Because you’re involved in something that will probably lead me to hauling your ass away in jail?”
“Would you?”
Hunt sat them up but held her in place, wrapping his arms low on her back. “I can’t help you when you don’t tell me what this is.”

Logline: Bix finally won Ellie’s affection. Little did he know, that was the easy part.
Back Cover blurb:
Unable to make it home in a snowstorm, Ellie seeks shelter at an old farmhouse. When the owner’s grandson shows up and happens to be the man she had given the brush off to twice, it takes all they have not to kill each other during the snowed-in days that follow.
The last thing Ellie plans on is the relationship outlasting the storm. Bix’s persistence at a relationship and attempts to help her at her job with his computer skills proves to be more than Ellie can continue to push away. She finds herself where she never wanted to be after losing her fiancé a year ago. In love again.
When Ellie’s twin sister shows up and puts all their lives at risk, they must now weather a different kind of storm together.
Half page teaser:
Bix was surprised to see Ellie standing in the kitchen when he walked in her house the following Monday. He was hoping to surprise her when she got home from work. She must have left a little early.
“You’re home?” He walked over admiring her hair then gave her a kiss as he ran his fingers through her hair. “What made you go dark?”
“I just felt like a change. You like it?”
“I do.” He kissed her again and weaved his fingers through her hair and to the back of her head.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and began kissing him hard. Getting more aggressive in her kisses, she began pushing him backwards until he was against the wall.
“What got into you, babe?”
“I just missed you.” She kissed his neck then pulled at his shirt, sending buttons flying. Her hands stroked his chest and went down to his belt buckle.
He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall as she kissed down his chest. She slid his jeans down, but left his boxers on. Kissing her way back up his chest, she placed her hand at his crotch. He was already getting aroused. “Nice,” she said, giving him a squeeze. Kissing him harder, she began rubbing her hips against him.
“Let’s get down to business, stud.”
His eyes sprang open and he held her by the shoulders, then looked into her eyes. They were the same shade of blue. The same deep blue outline. He looked from one to the other, then saw it. A green fleck that was never there before.
“You’re not Ellie.”
“Dammit.” Her hand still stroked his chest. “You’re quicker than Tony was.”
He pushed her back and quickly pulled his jeans up. “Ellie never mentioned being a twin.”
“It’s no wonder. I’d want to keep you to myself, too.” Again she leaned into him and tried to place her hand on his crotch. He grabbed her hand before she was successful.
“Stop it.”
“Come on. What are you? A choir boy?”
He moved away from the wall so she would stop cornering him. “I don’t know what your game is but—” The sound of a car door closing stopped him.
“Dammit. The party pooper is home. We’ll have to finish later.” She looked to Bix again and ran her tongue over her lips.
Bix tried pulling his shirt together the best he could, but it was a useless attempt with his buttons scattered across the floor.

Logline: When Kaitlyn tries to leave Dusty, fate has other plans.
Back Cover blurb:
A successful veterinarian, Kaitlyn thought she was content with her life. That is, until she turns thirty and realizes that her current ‘boy toy’ is simply not the father material she was looking for. As her biological clock ticks loudly in her ear, both her ‘toy’ and fate strongly disagree.
But something happens and over the next several days, she starts traveling between her birthdays of an altered present and those of her past, leaving her more confused than ever. With the help of a kindly old custodian named Frank, Kaitlyn comes to terms with her feelings for Dustin. And can Dustin Time quiet the ticking she’s trying so desperately to ignore?
Half page teaser:
She walked into the coffee shop and smiled wide again. It was all so familiar. At least this time she’d know what to expect. She noticed her shoe had become untied so she bent down to tie it. When she stood up, she looked into a familiar face–only it was a few years younger as well.
“Fancy meeting you here,” the man said, then smiled wide, obviously happy to see her.
Kaitlyn fainted.
~*~
She woke up on the couch of the coffee shop with Dustin at her side and a washcloth on her forehead. She tried to sit up but he gently pushed her back down.
“Just lay back there, cupcake. Take a few minutes to gather yourself.” He turned to the manager who was also standing there as if he worried that there would be a lawsuit coming. “You can go. She’s fine.”
Kaitlyn stared at Dustin’s profile as he talked. He was just as gorgeous four years younger. He looked closer to eighteen than he did twenty-one. His beautiful brown eyes glistened with the same gold flecks. He was still muscular, just slightly smaller and a little skinnier. His brown hair was a little longer too. She did always say she preferred short hair on men, but she wanted to run her fingers through it just the same. She watched his Adam’s apple as he talked and longed to give it a kiss.
Never mind, she thought. If this is a dream, let me sleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Dustin time is June’s 1st published novel. It was actually her 5th completed novel, but by far the favorite by the selected few she shared her work with.
Although some books take a year or more to write, a single thought sparked this novel and Dustin Time was completed in less than a month. Long days and nights and “word count wars” with friends created Dustin Time in record time. Sitting all day and night is not recommended. (You’ll notice a chiropractor make an appearance in the book with good reason!)
Readers have said they hear June’s voice in Kaitlyn. Her response: “All my female main characters are me. They’re bitches. LOL!”
A little bit of attitude and a lot of love keep Kaitlyn & Dusty fighting to stay together throughout everything fate throws at them. Looking for a good lawyer joke? Well…. It has those, too.
You are hereby double-dog-dared not to fall in love with Dusty.
Happy Reading. You’re on Dustin Time now, baby.
