Okay. So… it’s finally happened. I’m getting one of my novels published! I have been asked to start a blog so everyone could follow the progress, so here I am. Now if someone would tell me to breathe… everything will be just fine!
I got the e-mail from Champagne Books on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 with the great news that they wanted to publish my novel, Dustin Time. They e-mailed me a contract to look over and a few more documents regarding cover art, dedications, teaser 1/2 page, and such so the ball is rolling.
So far, the release date is set for August so there is a lot of time to keep you posted on what is going on. As I get updates, I’ll share them here.
I have had a few friends that have been successful with this publisher and I am looking forward to every step of the experience – shaking knees and all. With the 10 month wait, it’s like being pregnant all over again and waiting for your baby to arrive. That is a very fitting analogy. This is indeed my baby and I hope it’s just the first of my book family to be born and the others will follow soon!
